Over the past year we’ve been campaigning behind the scenes to keep the Domestic Abuse Bill on the Government’s agenda - because it’s a potentially landmark law on domestic abuse that could make a real difference for survivors - and because it contains vital legislation needed for the UK Government to ratify the Istanbul Convention.
Despite everything that has been happening in Parliament, everyone working on the Domestic Abuse Bill has managed to keep it on the agenda.
On Wednesday 2 October, MPs will have the opportunity to attend a debate about the Domestic Abuse Bill and to show their support for it.
To ensure the Bill makes it to the next stage, we need your help to get your MP to attend the debate and show their support, as well as raising their concerns about where the Bill still is not up to scratch.
MPs are more likely to listen to their constituents so you have a key role to play in getting your MP to attend the debate and support the Domestic Abuse Bill.
Time is of the essence so please Tweet your MP today to ask them to take action!
