Don’t settle for less. Call for change.

It has been a very difficult time for women across the UK in recent weeks with the murder of Sarah Everard. It follows many other women at the hands of their partners or former partners in the past 12 months.

As you will know, it has sparked a national conversation about how to address violence against women. In this, we have noticed that many people are calling for measures that are in the Istanbul Convention but many are not aware of the framework that brings this all together, helps us map the path and hold the Government to account. In this discussion, we want to sensitively highlight the role of the Istanbul Convention as a model to help us find the way forward.

How you can help:

We have created a short video to share on social media with a compilation of women from across the UK sharing how they are feeling right now, their vision for the future, and how the Istanbul Convention moves us closer to achieving this.

We need your help to amplify the message about why ratification is so important for women and girls across the UK - and to encourage people to add their voice to the call for change.
