On 8 June 2020, it will be 8 years since the UK signed the Istanbul Convention on violence against women. Much progress has been made in this time. However, eight years on, we are anxious to see ratification at last.
Ratifying the Convention is a key step in securing a safe future for women and girls in the UK. We cannot afford to wait.
As a parliamentarian, you have a critical role to play in helping us keep this on the government’s agenda and ensuring they keep their promise to ratify the Convention.
Please speak out on 8 June and call on the UK Government to ratify the Istanbul Convention.
