IC Change is a volunteer led campaign for the UK Government to ratify the Istanbul Convention (IC) on violence against women to make it law in the UK - so that women and girls can live lives free from violence.

The IC is the strongest legal framework that exists to tackle violence and against women and girls in the UK. It offers REAL change - if made law. Find out more about the campaign.

GOOD NEWS: Over the last few months we have been working hard on the #ChangeHerstory campaign for a bill on the Istanbul Convention. The Bill is now heading for Third Reading on Friday 24th February 2017.

We hope that over 100 MPs will join us again at this crucial stage to help Change Herstory.

At the second reading, on Friday 16 December 2016 there was a landslide vote by MPs in Parliament for Dr Eilidh Whiteford MP's bill requiring the UK Government to ratify the Istanbul Convention. Across nations, political parties, differences, we did it!

After a lively, passionate, and moving debate on the last day of Parliament before Christmas, the IC bill had overwhelming cross party support with 135 voting in favour of it. This strong vote has ensured it will pass to the next stage. We still have a quite a way to go but this is a huge achievement and a cause for great celebration! See what the press had to say.

A huge thank you to all who supported. Please join us in this next step to Change Herstory by ensuring 100 MPs attend on Friday 24 February 2017!
